The Never Quit Mission™ was an awareness campaign and fund-raising effort for non-profit organizations that provide a variety of quality of life, rehabilitative, and critical care services for active duty military, wounded veterans, and/or to their immediate families.
This was a personal mission to run "ultra-marathons" (100 miles or more), while wearing a weighted plate carrier (20-40lbs).
The weight was worn to symbolize the daily weight of sacrifice made by those who serve and experience physical or emotional wounds as a result of their service, and/or those felt by the families of the fallen, to include our Nation's Law Enforcement heroes.
The mission concluded with an attempt to establish a world record at the Javelina Jundred 100 Mile Ultra-Marathon by running the event in 30 hours or less wearing close to 35lbs.
Although only 62 miles were achieved, and an additional 27 by a former Marine sniper running in memory of lost teammates, it was a grand conclusion to two and a half years of races, training, donations raised for our wounded, and inspiration.
Thank you to all who supported and believed in this mission for our nations heroes.
